Course overview

The Discipline offers supervision in a wide area of medical interest. To pursue either degree, potential candidates should discuss the matter with the Head of Department. Candidates should have a primary degree in Medicine to pursue an MD and, in addition, an Honours degree for a PhD.

Entry requirements

Candidates should have a primary degree in Medicine to pursue an MD or MSc and, in addition, an Honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) for a PhD.

  • Barium imaging of colon cancer
  • Orally administered negative contrasting agents in abdominal CT scanning
  • Computer tomography of pulmonary sarcoid.
  • Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsy
  • Investigation of blunt renal trauma
